On March 15, 2011, Superintendent Ramon C. Cortines submitted the results of the Public School Choice Application Team Recommendations to the the School Board of Education, who then made their decision on March 16, based on the recommendations.
In part, the Board approved the following programs for Central High School #13:
Alliance for College-Ready Public School–Technology, Math and Science School (Charter)
The Los Angeles River School with reservations (Pilot)
Partnerships to Uplift Communities with reservations (Charter)
School of History and Dramatic Arts with reservations (Pilot)
ARTLAB Arts and Community Empowerment (Pilot)
