Community Health and Wellness Fair and Clinic, Eagle Rock Junior/Senior High School, Sept. 10, 2011

SATURDAY MORNING, SEPTEMBER 10, 2011 – the first Saturday after school starts, the Highlands Council of PTA’s – essentially all the PTA’s in Northeast Los Angeles, including Elysian Valley, Echo Park and Silver Lake – will host a Community Health and Wellness Fair and Clinic at Eagle Rock Junior/Senior High School along with LAUSD Student Medical Services, the County Health Department And School Nurse’s Office – and part of the effort will be to provide free TDaP vaccinations to students who need them. Target student populations are from Eagle Rock, Franklin, Marshall and the New Sotomayor High School in Glassell Park – as well as Nightingale, King, and Irving Middle Schools – and local charter, private and parochial schools. In addition there will be booths and demonstrations from community health providers about prenatal care, oral and vision health, nutrition and exercise. Eating Well + Living Well = Doing Well.
