Middle and High School Students are encouraged to apply for the Los Angeles Tenth District PTSA Music Scholarship.  The scholarship awards $200 paid towards private music lessons, to qualifying students.  Students must audition for the scholarship program.  Application must be submitted by March 16, 2012. Auditions will be held from March 26 to March 30, 2012, at the Tenth District Office. Please click on the “Forms” Page for a complete description of the application process, and to download a copy of the application packet.
The following will be awarded scholarships if chosen: (Only students attending middle and high schools will be considered. Students attending K-6 or K-8 Span schools are not eligible).
1. Standard Orchestra Instruments (Strings/Woodwinds/Brass):Â Scholarships will be awarded to students in grades 6-12. Applicants must fumish their own accompanist for the auditions, if needed.
2. Piano: Scholarships will be awarded to students in grades 6-12.
3. Voice: Scholarships will be awarded to students in grades 10-12 only. Applicants must furnish their own accompanist, if needed.
